National Apprenticeship Sponsorship

In 2022, ManpowerGroup was approved as a National Apprenticeship Sponsor by the U.S. Department of Labor. With this designation we can assist clients with their own apprenticeship program and support the hiring of apprentices without having to take on the sponsorship themselves.

Using a workforce needs assessment, we work with the client to select where the earn-while-you-learn apprenticeship program will reside.

We pre-validate and recommend candidates.

The ManpowerGroup program manager oversees the enrollment, monitoring and completion steps in the DOL’s Registered Apprenticeship Partners Information Database System.

For each client, ManpowerGroup will develop an apprentice handbook and a standard operating procedure for staff. We create a learning timeline, track monthly progress and complete quarterly evaluations with Associate and client.

We can payroll the apprentice but it is not a requirement. If ManpowerGroup doesn’t payroll the apprentice, a management fee along with program expenses will be charged to the client for the management of the program.
